Has anyone taken the steps to get a shield fitted for the system? I would do this myself but im not in america.
If there is no luck, them im going to draw out some blueprints when i get mine and hopefull they will make me a custom that way. that will be sometime in july, so if anyone sould send theirs in sooner than hat, it would save a lotof hassle.

3acp has skins for the m15x now on ebay, about 150 different designs. looks like they'll also offer skins for the m17x.

yes i saw that and i have asked a buyer of these to tell me his opinion. here is his review as sent to me.
Hello,
You sent a message to my wife about the skins for the Area-51 m15x.
Here are a few pictures attached. The pictures make it look glossier
than it really is, it has a semi-gloss/matte finish. If you are really
picky like I am you do not want these! As you can see from the
pictures
they do not match the outside edges of the top or keyboard, and the cut
out around the touchpad is too small, it cuts off the bottom light. I
tried to move it down and one side of the light display had to be
covered. I took out the one that goes on the touchpad and the buttons
because they were not close to fitting properly. Most of the air
bubbles
came out easily except the ones between the layers of plastic. There
is
a paper backing then the actual skin then a clear layer on top to help
with the installation (top layer peels off after installation). There
was a bunch of bubbles between the actual skin and top layer which made
it difficult to tell which ones were under the skin and which were just
under the top later. Also the bubbles between layers removed some of
the matte finish, the color is still there but those sopts are more of
a
gloss look than the rest of it without bubbles.
I have dealt with a lot of skins for my kids DS's and our phones
and with the exception of Protech these were the easiest to install.
As
far as size and proper cutouts this is one of the worst I have seen and
used. If I was to order another set I would get with the people at
ProtechYourDevice.com and have them make me one. They done have colors
but there product is indestructable, I have tried to scratch it and cut
it and it is really good stuff. I played with the left over pieces
from
this skin that was suppose to be on the touchpad and it cut very easy,
scratches showed up in the light if looked at right but did not remove
the color. I use a knife to try and scratch them!
I hope this helps, I left the skin off the screen also, if you
want
to play with it we can work something out to ship it to you. I dont
need it so I wont charge for the skin but shipping to you might be a
little expensive.
If you have more questions let me know.
So basically, he/she sells cheap STICKERS, not protective skins.
He also sent me some pics of the skin on the m15x. it doesnt look good and some parts dont even fit properly. -
please post the pics mate, i feel some of us are/were interested in these skins.

no clue... upload them to flickr or photobucket or something? oh and btw that's a shockingly bad fit...

this crappy pc keeps on freezing when i try to upload so im just going to leave it at that. as you can see, it actually looks like its already faded (bad colours)
Man, if only i could take a phisical look at an m15x just for 1/2 hour, i could make out a perfect schematic for invisible shield. Alas, i dont know anyone in ireland with one....... you dont think AW might send me a bare chasis just to make up measurements? The EU base is in ireland after all.
I doubt it though. -

why cant someone just draw out the required coverings for the m15x and send it in? all the surfaces are pretty much flat. even te ripley design is just a flat piece of plastic with a bit of an angled fold in the centre.
invisible shield update for m15x?
