dell asia is charging like almost $1000 to $1500 more ...

If I can get that M17x setup from Sams Club it would be so much cheaper ...

    :(

Yes but you need to know someone in the USA that will receive the PC first at his US house then ship it back to you in Asia. Only problem with this is shipping is going to be around $400. I shipped a PC from USA to France, it cost my brother about $350.

Yeah, the only alienware company that ships to Asia is the one in UK. You can use services like Borderlynx or something to help you get it shipped. It gives you an US "mail" address, whereby the goods will be delivered to them, and they'll ship it to you.

My largest concern is not about the shipping though. It's about the warranty offered. Shops like Sam's Club and Microcenter offer warranties, but you can only get your laptop repaired through them, no? Seeing that Dhell's (sorry, took that from the Dell's hate forum. Can anyone see the double pun in it? :p ) alienware can be of poor quality, i do not wish to go back to US just to get it fixed.

I've read somewhere about transferrable warranties. If i were to get an alienware laptop in the US (even from the official store, am currently looking at the M17 with dual 4850s), can i then get my alienware repaired in my country?

    Thanks in advance! :)

Alienware's bought at Sam's Club and Microcenter come with Dell's Warranty, not Sam's Club or Microcenter warranties.

Some have had luck getting their warranty transferred. Call Dell and ask to transfer the warranty to the other Dell location.
