Hi, When i recieved my m15x ... the stock driver for my 9800m Gt was giving me high temp readings, i had a 74c idle. Now i wasnt sure if it was a really that hot or just a bad reading.... I ended up installing the 179.13 driver, Now my temps are fine, my idle temp is 48c. I mainly play UT3, CS:source, BF2142. All the games run smooth, but one problem i see in bf2142 is while cloaking/orbital strikes/dying the screen goes completely black except for the HUD. Has anyone else experience this?
which one of the 180.xx drivers are most reliable, im trying to keep my temps down. Ive seen in other threads that their temps are a higher after upgrading.

i updated to 180.48 yesterday, and the difference in gaming performance (Crysis and Far Cry 2) is... gigantic. i mean, literally epic. FC2 on 179.13, i had to pull all settings down to medium, and only got about 22fps. updated to 180.48, and easily got 100-120fps on the same settings. did i mention my temps are now 5-10°C lower than before?

i upgraded to 180.48 everything runs great. Ut3 runs the same with an inconsistant frame rate at high res, it slows down a tad in open scenery areas, but slick when indoors, this could be because i only have 2gb of ram. But temps are about 5c cooler.. so im sticking with this for now, thanks whizzo
BF2142 still has the black screens. Any ne still play bf2142 that has this problem -
whizzo.
Think the 180.70 drivers are a little better with SLI. After i convert to 64bit Vista will try different drivers again. -
HHMmmmm i disabled AA in the game settings. I works now, just no more AA. weeeiirdd
