issue with hdmi on tele, anyone know?

hi guys, im running BB's modded 186.82, and when i try to play a game on my 40 inch samsung LED tv with HDMI only the game shows up but with intense white flickering. if i run the game with HDMI + LCD everything shows up on my tv fine! can anyone tell me why i cant just run it off the hdmi? thnx

 

Again, I need to clarify a point here... I did not mod 186.82. It is a Microsoft Windows Update released driver.

Adrian, what is the resolution on the samsung?

 

ah oki my bad BB sorry. erm 1920x1080 is what im trying, tested devil may cry and saboteur both flicker =s

 

No need for an apology - I just wanted to make sure nobody was thinking I modded the driver.

I'm looking over the other threads now - I seem to recall a post recently on HDMI and an issue with resolution. Check search - you might find it before I do...

 

cant seem to find anything that relates to my issue BB, is the same flashing i got when i recived my M17x in august, with 1 faulty sli card and when i ran a game on laptop screen on sli it would flash white over it, now im getting this but on tv, not to mention still some stutter n low fps =s

 

Something is funky with forum search tonight - cant find it either.

Since I haven't messed with outputting to an external, I can't really suggest anything. Have you tried lowering the resolution down for the samsung in the NV CP? Checked those settings? If so and still no progress, will have to wait for more input from others.

 

BB i think i fixed it, pure and simple, turn off and on tv, and it seems to fix it strangly.. lucky my cat sat on the power off button lol. thnx again for helping BB ur a great service to me and this forum! *respect* <3
