    Hello. :)

I just received my m15x, I ordered on the 8th (I'm not sure, I forgot) and just got it an hour ago. I've yet to turn it on and noticed that the nameplate isn't correct and I can't find the Express Card Media Center Remote Control I ordered.

I will boot it up and make a review by today or tomorrow, if I find my camera I'll post some pictures. Hope it goes well, however I'm kind of angry that I can't find the remote control. (or maybe it isn't one, could sure use some help w/ that) Also the mouse button (the rocker, clicker, w/e) takes too much force to respond.

I commenced the boot up, it made a staticky noise, also the power on button flickers (not sure if that is normal), and it seems like AW didn't pre customize it like I asked, :(

My initial thoughts are, it looks nice and the screen is gorgeous. The build quality on the chassis doesn't seem as sturdy as other laptops, however the hinges aren't so bad, they're better from some videos I've seen.

    Full review coming soon. :)

It doesn't have my name like I asked, instead it says Agent Number or something followed by numbers. I'm in the process of looking for my digi cam so I'll take a pic once I find it.

James Bond ordered a laptop around the same time you did, so perhaps you got his?

Kidding of course. You're not the first person this has happened to. One of the Alienware reps on this forum can help you - a lot of us are thankful they are here. Here's one:

I'm sure they could have shipped it separately.

the alienhead should flicker under load and just a little while idling, shows that the CPU is working. The remote should have been shipped seperately. Staticky noise, what do u mean? Is it from HDD or cpu? The touchpads buttons softens up after use, as does the USB ports, I was also disturbed by it in the beginning but now when I see it from hindsight I see it as an assurance my laptop was brand new.hope u will enjoy ur laptop and I am looking forward to read ur review.
