Well its happened again except this time all the lighting has gone out instead of just the alienware letters. I just installed and ran windows 7 for the past two days and then powered down my system today and when it powered back on-no lights. I did windows 7 in a dual boot config. I have since deleted the partition etc and am now planning on a fresh install of vista (or windows 7) hoping I won't need to contact tech support and or send the machine in (classes start in two days!) terrible time for this to happen. Also about a week ago my system quit telling me in alienfx whether it was in stealth mode or not (even though stealth still worked) also it seems alienfx is still running but I can not apply new schemes. argh

Sorry to hear that this has happened, please reinstall the original OS and let us know if the issue persists. Feel free to send me a PM if you need further assistance or call us directly.

    Thank you.

So you dont see any lights, huh? Turn off your machine and boot directly into Integrated graphics. Power off the machine, keep the right mouse button on touchpad pressed to boot directly into Integrated. If there is no light then I would assume CC will not work, it might have not detected the AlienFX board yet.

    Getting lights back:
    1)Shut down the computer
    2)Disconnect battery and ac
3)press and hold power button for about 10-15 seconds
4)Connect AC back only and turn on comp
5)Hopefully lights are back. Now plug in the battery.
