    little questions which need answering bout the M15X!!!

    there are some questions i want to ask just out of curiousity.
    1) will the m15x run without the main battery but only with a smart bay one?
    2) how are the touch controls on the m15x's? (preferably the new ones)
    3) is it possible to play crysis on your lap without burning yourself?

    just looking into all kinds of detail before i make a choice :D

    1- Don't know. Don't think so as I'm sure you will need the primary battery. But I really don't know.
    2- The touch controls are not great but not the nightmare people might think of.
    3- No. If you are playing crysis, for your sake but, most importantly, for your laptop's sake, you SHOULDN'T play any game on your lap while on integrated graphics. You will have the risk of blocking airflow and cause unneeded overheating of your laptop's components.

    1)im sure the m15x can run on smartbay bat without main bat since it drains the smartbay battery first. im not sure about this since i havent tried it.

    2)the touch controls work great except the volume one.

    3)the exhaust is in the back and if you put it on your lap the m15x will heat up to a higher temperature than normal. the only laptop i put on my lap was a vostro. since the m15x's temps are higher than a vostro and the vostro was already burning my leg i going to say the m15x will burn your leg too. it is not recommended that you use the m15x on your lap anyways since the temps will become unsafe for the machine.

    i think you mean dedicated and not integrated. on integrated graphics im sure you can easily use it on your lap even if you are playing a game as long as its on integrated.

    @any1 who has recieved the m17x, are the touch controls any different, (more responsive or better i dont know)

    Out of interest could u safely use the m15x on ur lap for say:
    1. watching a DVD
    2. while doing a word doc or similar, say in stealth mode or intergrated gfx
    3. gaming on intergrated gfx

    you could easily do all those task in integrated graphics. it is useable on your lap with integrated graphics. the m15x doesnt really get too hot when you are using integrated graphics.

    Will the integrated graphics be powerful enough to watch a blu-ray movie on?

    1. yes you can run the m15x on just smart bay battery(done it before)
    2. the only one I have problem with is the volume one. (still can get them to work after sleep)
    3. Don't know don't play Crisis
