    loose power plug on my new m17x laptop

    I noticed my ac power plug going into the laptop seems loose and wiggles a lot in the laptop if i bump the cord. Is this common? I know on my hp laptop before was never this loose.

    Mine is a little loose but I have my setting adjusted so whenever it gets unplugged it stays with the hybrid graphics. Then I also have my Alienfx adjusted so when it is running off battery power the power button goes from red (that fits in well with my color scheme) to green (stands out, really noticeable) , so I always notice if it slips loose when I move around.

    The reason for it being loose is prevent damage caused by bumping the connector, since the port on the laptop is pretty much impossible to repair without a motherboard switch out( depends on laptop) they make the cable loose so that when nudged it will come out rather than damage the port.

    Yeah. while mine is mostly snug, but does come out easily. Annoying because when it does, my system slows down.
