    Its labeled as the fastest driver, but it seems like its a little buggy as many textures and shades are not displayed correctly and therefore gives the impression of better 3dmark scores and faster frame rates...

    Oh, look at the email I got today when asked about 64bit Vista & the 9800GTX:

    ======
    Thank you for contacting Alienware.

    Of course, Alienware constantly looks into offering the latest perks offered in computer technology, especially in improving the efficiency of systems currently offered.

    However, we unfortunately have no definite information just yet regarding the approximate time frame for future availability of the Nvidia Geforce Go 9800 GTX video cards for our Area-51m Mobile Systems other than the fact that it is currently in the research and development stages.

    Like any other Alienware system offered, these new components go through our extensive testing process for quality control, for compatibility and optimum high level gaming system performance. Please rest assured that as soon as it is available, it will be on our website as well. We are in final testing of 64-bit drivers for our mobile systems as well, these drivers will be released shortly but there is no exact information as to when these will be released either.

    Keep in mind that before jumping to a 64-bit OS you will need to make sure that all the devices that you will be connecting your system to (scanners, cameras, printers, media/music players, etc) have 64-bit drivers available as otherwise they will not work. Also, you must make sure that the programs that you are using work well with a 64-bit OS. While a 64-bit OS can run 32-bit programs too there are a few 32-bit programs that do have problems under a 64-bit OS. Jumping to a 64-bit OS to take advantage of the inherent features of this type of OS sure does have its advantages when using programs designed for 64-bits but its important to make sure that the hardware and programs you already own can make the jump as well.

    If you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Interesting. We're finally going to see some official 64-bit support? findvikas is way ahead of them though. :p

    yeah, he did half the R&D stuff, now they just have to mod the installers to implement the changes he discovered that makes everything work, so the end-user doesn't actually have to do anything... not even think!

    anyways... :spinny:

    i tried it and i got the same score sa 176.26 .
    thats after installing vista ultimate x64.
    i got 10444 with home premium x32.
    i think 3dmark06 is not fully compatible with x64 engine as the x32.

    how is the in-game performance , you should rather try 3dmark vantage to get dx10 supported results. also I would recommend real game benchmarking with tool like crysis benchmarking tool
