Hey guys, I know that there have been A LOT of questions about the m11x, particularly its CPU, but I have a few more that I could not find anywhere on these forums or the internet.
1) I know that the main difference between the two CPU's is that the 7300 has virtualization, which from what I understand, is the ability to emulate/run other OS, like XP for example. So my question is this then: do older PC games (3-10 years old) run fine on Windows 7? Or do they need to be run through "XP"? I have a wide collection of games ranging from Star Craft to Max Payne 2 to AOE III and I just want to know if I need the virtualization to run them. If not, I will go with the 4100 processor.
2) Will the power of the CPU (even OC'd) prevent the playing of future games on the m11x? I've noticed that the power of the CPU barely makes the system requirements for some games, if it even makes it at all! I don't understand how the 1.6 CPU of the m11x can play MW2 when it's min req. is a Core Duo at 1.8 or higher! But other way...how future proof is that CPU?
Thanks in advance for the help. I apologize for any ignorance with the tech questions, but I've done the research and couldn't find the answers. I only know so much about comp tech. Been excited to pull the trigger on this little beast! Thanks again!

you misunderstand what virtualization is for.
You dont need VT to run XP if you install it as your OS, you need VT if you wish to run XP as a virtual machine INSIDE of Windows 7 which would not run games anyways because of the lack of 3d.
If you want to install and run older games they should work fine on 7, if they don't then you can try installing an XP dual boot. There has never been a game that needs virtualization afaik.
The second question is silly. I hate future proof questions. Nobody knows. Sooner or later this system will be too slow, its just a matter of when. -

I haven't had the need to in 7 yet, but thats true. Didn't cross my mind
