m11x Sleeves/cases

What kind of sleeves are you guys rocking? Too bad there aren't official ones...or is that one it comes with suffice for on the go?

 

There are official ones, offered only to dell usa which you are.

 

There are? I can't find them... do you mean the backpack/bag? Or the sleeve it comes with? I was talking like the neoprene ones and such.

 

yep, there are two official ones, search for the guy that has the sleeve list, but yep, $29.99 from Dell will get you an Alienware sleeve or binder... wish I would have waited, but I do like the BUILT sleeve I bought.

 

i have the incase 13inch macbook sleeve, which works for me

 

Has anyone heard of anyone getting the binder in? I'm guessing it doesn't fit the PS brick. I have the large esling and it fits rather snugly in it. The other compartment in the bag can hold plenty of stuff in it. Overall I'm liking the bag.

 

sadly us canadians aren't able to spend all this gold up here on nice AW sleeves and cases.......

I'd figured that I might as well contribute to a greater cause when I'm shopping for a laptop sleeve.

 

I ordered one from http://www.Razerzone.com. Last month they had a promo giving away a free L88T/Swag pack with any $20 order so I ordered a kabuto mouse mat and a 15" sleeve which is actually only " Width: 14.6" (37cm) Height: 10.2" (26cm) Depth: 1.3" (3.2cm)" so I think it'll fit pretty good., and its only $19.99 US.

Yeah the Razer ones look cool. I had NO CLUE they had official ones. I'm thinking about getting the neoprene one, but Dells shipping cost sucks.

You can get the Orion backpack and that sleeve for around 100$. Figured I'd point it out.

 

That Kroo retro mentioned in one the older threads that I bought and got before my m11x, that I thought was going to be too small?

Great fit. The side pocket for the AC also has a tough lining so unlike other sleeves w/ pockets having the power brick in there does not worry me.

 

Sweet! I really wanted the Kroo but when you said it was too small I was worried. I suppose I should order it after I get some money from all the other accessories I've been getting.

Anyway, OP: link in sig has a list of sleeves that should help you out.

 

It even has some little flaps type thing inside the main compartment that cover over the zipper area, so the zipp can't even rub the laptop. Really nice sleeve, I bought a laptop messenger bag to put the sleeve + m11x in, but hoenstly, with this you could just put it in the sleeve and throw it into any messenger bag, you don't need the laptop style padded chamber.

 

I ordered the official neoprene sleeve and the Orion backpack from that site I posted, It was 95 or something for both of them after shipping.

 

Hey thanks for the heads up about the sleeve at Provantage phrequencyviii, just ordered mine. Cheaper than direct from Dell and will probably be here sooner too.

 

No prob. I think the backpack gets here tommorow, but the sleeve hasn't shipped yet. It must be brand new. Does anybody actually have the official ones in hand?

Also, it's kind of hilarious having a thing on your bags that says PLEASE STEAL ME but whatever, they look awesome...rofl

 

I don't know if anyone saw this yet but you can order the Alienware M11x sleeve that Dell has from mobile edge's website. Right now it says "In Stock" over Dell's Temporarily Out of Stock and Provantage's Special Order.

Ok, just got a call from Mobile Edge... the sleeve is actually on backorder until April 5, so no go there either for now.

 

Yeah no one has that sleeve as of yet. I ordered mine from Dell on the 24th of February - original EDD was 03/15 and it got pushed back to 03/29.

 

Yeah Provantage just says awaiting confirmation.

Weird, they have the sleeve cheaper than Dell but the binder is more expensive than Dell.

 

The cases are now available in Canada BTW.

Damn - I'd love one of those official M11x sleeves - but I'm guessing getting one shipped to the UK will be a no-go.

Any UK based peeps with any tips on decent sleeves? I already have a rucksack that is well padded - but I really need a protective sleeve for the M11x so that it won't get 'all shook up' when I'm on my bike.
