ya i am running a occt test.. it ll take like 1 hrs.. or i can post temps after 30 mins..
is there 2 fans in this model..one at back and one at bottom?? or the fan below just pumps air into back vent??

can u hear the noise? its pretty loud rite?? I cant sleep with my m11x turned on.. :(
it even turns on in intel mode (even after restart) but the noise is not that loud.. but still noticeable in my room.

There is just a single fan. It brings air in from the bottom and vents it out the back.

Those are not blades. those are the supports for the axle. If the air is coming our the back, then your fan is fine. In the video when your camera gets closer you can hear the fan = working. If you were not getting any noise I would then be concerned.

It sounds like it's working just fine. As soon as you switch over to Nvidia the fan kicks in. I don't keep track of CPU temps so I could be wrong but I think those temperatures are normal as well.

your temps would be much much higher if your fan was not working. So you are good. As for the loudness. I guess the only real way to go buy a Digital sound level meter and get some reading while under load and compare to another forum member. I thought my M11x sounded like a leaf blower. I actually found the parameters for the fan kicking in vs. measured temps were off. Meaning the fan was running much harder than it needs to. Kicking in where the temps indicated no fan was necessary. I think there are some other threads that specifically discuss this...

If it sounds like a jet or a vacuum, it's alright. If there is rattling or grinding, something is probably wrong. From the video, sounded fine to me.

Yes the m11x fan is loud and it likes to turn on and off a lot. This is a known issue with the m11x. Most likely a BIOS issue. I was doing search on google and it looks like the m17x had an issue like this and a BIOS update fixed it.

hmm in such case.. i ll not return it.
I mean i like this laptop except for this issue.. even tht dead pixel never bothers me as it only appears in black or dark background

Yeah my fan is pretty loud too. I didn't actually notice it really until Saturday (got mine last Wednesday). I'd been playing Mass Effect for a few hours and realized I was actually hearing it with my headphones on.
