    Hey everyone,

Im new here but I'm really interested in buying a m11x and have a question about the screen size. From all the reviews and youtube videos I can see the m11x is capable of playing allmost anything in high settings. But one thing I cant really find or see is what everyone thinks about gaming on such a small screen?

Right now Im almost convinced to buy a m11x, but my roommates keep telling me its better to buy a laptop with a bigger screen. For the price of a m11x you can also get a decent 15''-16'' asus gaming laptop like the g60vx with maybe even better performance. I have no experience at all with small notebooks, so Im really curious what gaming on a 11'' screen is like.

I'd also like to know if anyone has any experience with playing fallout 3 on the m11x, I cant seem to find any good info on this particular game on this machine. I REALLY want to play this game :)

Some text in games can be a bit small, especially I found in the MMO i play I needed to bump the UI to 1.25 times the size.

Overall however I've found it quite good, especially since I game with it sitting in my lap.

It really is a decision over how portable you want your notebook to be, if you want to be taking it around with you, and also being able to sit it on your lap easily then it really is a great option. However if you're going to sit it on a desk or tray most of the time then you probably would be better off going for a larger notebook.

BC2 is a little hard, but that might just be me adjusting from my old mammoth monitor. I found myself hunched forward with my nose against the screen!

It's a good size screen to me. I played ME2 for 5 hours non-stop one night and my eyes weren't even strained.

It is like watching a movie on an iPod, after awhile you are so in to it you don't even notice. :)

If you have no experience with small screens like using a netbook, you'll be shocked, at first. You'll get used to it though.

I don't get comparing it to 15" or 16". You don't buy the m11x for screen real estate, you buy it because it's easy to haul around every day.

^^ NBR said that when they get their premium M11x games that F3 would be one of the games that they'd bench.

You know I could deal with a M11X. My eyes are great at close in view. for someone that need glasses to read. this laptop will suck.

It depends on the person. I can read Miro Printing on money Which to most people it looks like a line. But Distance I suck. I need glasses.

It will depend on the person.

thanks for the replies. I just ordered the m11x so in 2-3 weeks time Im gonna find out if I like 11 inch gaming :) Im probably not going to play shooters but mainly rpgs. As long as the fps is decent and I dont need a looking glass to read the text Ill be fine!

ps I hope they add the fallout 3 benchmark soon!! ^^

I don't have a M11x, but a 1810T with the same screen dimensions (11,6" 1366x768), but when playing FPS games i'd prefer my 17 inch laptop. By example, when playing a game like SoF2 (yes thats old) i noticed the appearance of enemies much earlier on a 17" screen, because they're simply bigger. So for competititive sorts of games, this is a good thing to consider.

After playing Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake and MAME using my N900 and it's 3.5" screen, the M11x 11.6" screen is like iMax ;)
