Received my m15x this week, and I'm very happy with everything except the godawful case.

The biggest problem I have is the touch controls - which are so sensitive that they from time to time they start spontaneously activating themselves without anyone or anything touching them; the power switch I can just about workaround by setting it to 'do nothing' in the power settings, but the random volume alterations I can't find any way around. Happily the four buttons on the right hand side don't seem to suffer the same problem.

Why any sane designer would ever have thought these touch controls were a sensible choice eludes me, even if they worked they'd look like cheap tat.

Anyway, is there any way to just deactivate the pointless touch-volume control?

I think it is fairly likely the machine is going back for a refund either way, but thought it worth asking.

When this happens, try uninstalling the OSD Utility and the Alienware Command Center respectively, restart, then reinstall the OSD Utility and the Alienware Command Center in that order. Both of the software can be found either in your MyHive or the NBR m15x mini-MyHive here.
