So I got me the Hybrid-Harddisk for the Smartbay of the m15x.
Unfortunately no manual came with it, so I do not have any idea how to use the additional functionality.
Any advice?

Shameless Bump.
Does really nobody use this type of disc?

Only Vista can make use of hybrid hard drives through a feature called ReadyDrive, which allows Vista to cache files onto it. I am not sure how you can take advantage of a hybrid hard drive that does not have an OS on it . . .

so the flash part of the drive is like a little TurboMemory module?

Good amount of information on wikipedia for the Hybrid Drive:

huh. that's interesting. well i guess if it's really useful depends on how you use it ...

Ok, but how would I now activate the Hybrid with my m15x?
I have Vista installed on my internal Harddrive, so how would I activate the Cache of the Hybrid Drive in the Smartbay to make actually use of it?

don't you think it's always "activated", i.e. it's always working?
