    I am wondering about the quality of the internal Webcam of the m15x.

    Does anybody know a website where we can see a few pictures / videos from that camera?

    the quality isn't that good. Some people hate it. I can take same pics with it in a bit

    True the RAZR2 is 250$ but it's not a webcam :D

    @Topic: The m15x webcam is fine. Not the best I've seen. Just fine.
    The m1730, dv9700t and Macbook Air all have better webcam comparing to the m15x.

    but the laptop is around 3000 $.. doesnt it deserve a webcam of Decent quality?

    It is decent for average use. A phone is meant to travel with you, take pictures, and call. An alienware laptop is meant for high performance gaming, dj'ing, occasional light travel, and occasional video chats.

    And there's the catch - the performance I've seen from my webcam isn't suitable for video chat. Unless postage stamp-sized images are considered suitable.

    So would you guys recommend using as it the sole method of skyping or to go out and purchase another ? Oh and how's the mike when calling ?
    Gonna need to it to call back home and stuff, nothing fancy.. Just enough so they can make out my face is my face and my voice doesn't sound like The Godfather :p

    Sir Travis you kill me - You would defend AW if there was crap oozing out of the vents. GIve me a break! Why can't you admit the webcam sucks and that a 3200 dollar laptop deserves at least the same as other notebooks in that category! Do you work for AW? Or just paid to defend them? It would be like having a Ferrari with a ****ty stereo. You'd prob say no prob - A Ferrari is meant to drive not listen to music while you drive.

    Well its 2 megapixel which is hell of a lot better than most Laptop webcam's normally something like 1.3 megapixel's.

    well even if the camera has 2 megapixels the most important thing is how good the quality of the pictures is. It could have 10mp and still suck so this isn't really a good argument. When I look at the pictures that were taken with the webcam I think they have a lousy quality - looks like a really poor cam of an outdated mobile phone :/
