bought a 3870 GPU on ebay and installed it onto my m15x. it shows up as 3870 x2. is this how it's suppose to show up under win7? i had an 8800m gtx in laptop before. my VGA BIOUS Version sas ATi 010.081.001.000.030047 under bios. is this also correct? some how i can't install drivers, or the catalyst. perhaps i need to do clean boot?

that is fine your gpu was a master or slave of a crossfire system that's why it shows like that , one of my cards die and i was using my system with one only and still shows as hd4870x2 even if the other card was outside the comp. :)

    It doesn't matter.

Some drivers make it show as X2 and some don't.
