    hi,

I upgraded over the summer to a Ati 3870 in my m15x, and was wondering what driver other m15x users are using, and where to download from?

Am currently running the 8.57 driver, but am getting alot of "the display driver has stopped working" and crashes in games. I could re-install the driver, but as I've seen the 9.11 drivers mentioned elsewhere on the forums, was wondering where I could download them - myhive only shows the stock driver, and back in my nvidia days I used laptopvideo2go, but not sure where to look now.

    Thanks,
    Chris.

To Update just download the desktop ones from Ati's website and then using a program called Mobility Modder modify them to work for Mobility cards.

Or you can also download the ati driver from the Alienware website as well. I recommend the previous poster's way. I'm using the 9.11 driver from ATI. You can get it here By the way the latest one is the 9.12 driver right now.

These cards are very good, as dhoang417 said, just download the latest drivers from Alienware or ATI and mod them with mobility modder. And after that please post your feedback and some benchmarks ;).

Thanks everyone! I downloaded the 9.12 driver and used mobility modder - was really straight forward! No crashing/error messages so far, although will test it properly in a while.

Am off on holiday for a week so will run 3d mark etc, when I'm back - for now, its nice to play fallout 3 for more than 15mins without an error message!

    Cheers!
