I have struggled with this for a few months and searched all over these forums for a solution but I'm at my wits end - if I try anything except the drivers that the computer ships with it is stuck at 275/300mhz no matter what I do.

At this point I don't care about powermizer, overclocking or any other fancy options, I just want some kind of combination that will end up with my computer running a relatively new driver at the 500/800 speeds so I can use the computer to do what I bought it for.

Any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.

    edit: running Vista 32

Are you running Windows XP or Windows Vista?

    Edit: Thanks.
Edit #2: If you want your notebook to run at full clocks all of the time, you could try disabling powermizer using this guide.

You managed to sneak in before my edit ;) I'm running Vista 32, initially I was running XP but since it became apparent that I would never be able to solve the issue in XP I switched to Vista.

If you needed working clocks on XP, try using 167.43. If it's XP that you're worrying about, you might want to check out this thread.

Are you sure you are not running on Stealth Mode ?? When I first got my m15x I noticed my GPY clocks being the same as yours. Then I turned off stealth mode and now I am running on full speed. Sometimes it is hard to notice if you are in stealth mode or not. I hope this helps. God Bless

Last year when I first had these problems I spent weeks before I managed to get a setup to work that didn't downclock. When I noticed that the problem was back today I of course thought it was because I upgraded to newer drivers last week instead of looking at what lights was lit up on the keyboard...

    *facepalm*
