    m15x CPU upgrade?

    I was looking to upgrade my processor and i was looking for some suggestions and also a guide on how to swap it out of my laptop any help? AND should i replace my video card or my cpu first and what should i buy?

    The best CPU you can put in there is the X9000 (I think it's the X9000, something like that) running at 2.8GHz. That's definite.

    As for GPU, good luck finding one. You can put an 8700M GT, 8800M GTX or 9800M GT card in there provided it uses MXM 2.1. Make sure of that first.

    Problem is, you'll also need a new m15x heatsink for the card, and that will be bloody hard to find, so good luck with that.

    might be off topic a lil bit but
    i ordered ati 3870 from alienware for about $186 +heatsink and everything.
    though they sent me a "defective" so they are sending me 1 again.
    just be sure to say you need its heatsink and thermal gel.

    i did call alienware about the gpu and they said that they would send me it so i can install it myself

    The video card should come with the specific heatsink
