Hello, I am playing crysis and just wondering what other people are getting for fps, and also if my fps are normal or too low for some reason.

I have installed the C triple packet at level 4 and am playing in my screens natural resolution 1440x900 and i get on the first level on the island when i am running around outside around 20-22 fps in gunfights, sometimes it can even drop to 18! When the surroundings arent that big like inside a house then i can go up to just below or 30~.

What are other m15x owners system setups for Crysis, what resolution/level of detail and stuff are you playing at and what framerate do you get?

I know that there are other m15x gaming performance threads but i just want to get some advice how to increase fps and know what is to be expected when playing crysis on the m15x. Also if my performance is considered "normal".

i've got the exact same setup as you (what are your AA settings? i've turned it off), and get about 20-25fps as well. doesn't really bother me though, motion blur makes it hard to notice anyway.

what you could do is use level 3 with some AA, or maybe turn down one of the settings manually (in your system setttings, it should say "own" or "personal" or something like that. pick some things you don't really need and set them "middle" or whatever).

Never graphed them yet, i will do this weekend and i can post them here. Been monitoring them tho and never gone above 88C. I think they are fluctuating a little bit, often goes to 88 then down to 83-80 i think and then back up again. How are yours?

yeah, mine are like that too. that's the effect of the new BIOS, it spins the GPU fan to full blast if the GPU hits 88 degrees... the fan runs full throttle till the GPU goes to about 80 degrees or so, and then it slows down again... lather, rinse, repeat.

does 20-25fps in crysis ever feel sluggish? or are those frames well playable?

no, it's good. crysis has this motion blur effect, so if you're turning around fast (which usually provokes slower fps), everything gets blurry (which is sorta realistic), so you can't actually tell your fps is going down.
