    Hey there,

I´m about to buy alienware m15x, my only concern is how a 1920x1080 resolution will work out when editing text almost every day..

I know no one with this high res. screen on a 15 inch, so please if you do have one and are a programmer what do you think about it?

Problems with sites like that is, people who have a bad experience are generally more willing to share their story. That, and I believe a lot of those reviews may have been for older models before Dell acquired them that have had some significant problems. Don't quote me on that though. Either way, this forum is probably a better resource for researching AW, as well as other makers/resellers.

There have been some who have had some problems dealing with Dell/AW, but I think the majority of AW owners are generally pretty happy.

^^^^agreed. seem most of these are for the older area 51 models. i also have the high res screen and have no problem read or writing text. but you can also set it to display text bigger if you wish. i have no regrets getting this screen.

personally I like the 1080 screen. You can increase the DPI on Vin7 and Wista to make everything bigger (I use 125%). It looks very nice and the GPU and CPU make for a snappy experience :)

if you want to do any programming, you must get the 1080p screen. I would never go back to a smaller resolution.

Or get an external monitor. Unless you need to be mobile.
