    Hello,

I'm having problems with the Realtek HD Input Mic Volume for m15x. The mic volume is greyed out and unchangeable and I'm just wondering if there is a way to increase the mic volume. I've tried a few mics but they all result in a low recording. I literally have to put the mic right in front of my mouth to get a decent sound.

Also, I notice under the realtek mixer settings that there are 2 front white-ins under the realtek hd output and I'm unsure what those do. I tried increasing them but I don't notice any change.

    Thanks

I don't see a recording section directly from the "sounds and audio devices"

    but under

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Advanced (Device Volume) > Properties > Realtek HD Input

I see Recording, Mic Volume, Line Volume, and Stereo Mix. However all of them are greyed out and unchangeable and except for recording which I had set to max the whole time.

The master volume shows Master Volume, Wave, SW Synth, CD Player, Front, Rear, SPDIF, Front White In, Front White In, PC Beep.

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Advanced (Device Volume) > Properties > Realtek Digital Mic

shows mic volume which is changeable but its only for using the laptop's mic, which is not what I want. I want to speak through a mic plugged into the jack, which is controled by HD Input setings.
