I recently purchased an m15x from Alienware and have been very pleased with it so far. However, I do not know if I am going crazy or something, but do the lights around certain keys seem to grow weaker with time? I do not have a camera to show you what I see, but it seems that the glow around the left arrow and top of the spacebar seem to have a few weak glow spots. A few letters are beginning to show weakness as well. Has anyone else noticed this with their m15x? Thoughts?

I have a G15 gaming keyboard, and ya the lights are a little uneven in places..Its not something I would worry about too much, as long as the keys are glowing..im happy..If you want Rob, you can contact tech support and they might send you a new keyboard (i doubt it)...but then again its a minor problem, something i would overlook..

    o ya..Welcome to NBR!!!!

    :)

welcome friend, glad to have another m15x user who doesn't say the machine sucks. (jk)

the lighting is uneven on my keyboard too but not enough to make it a problem. the main reason i love this keyboard is cuz you can see while typing in the dark. as long as you can make out the keys then it should be fine.

funny....as my G15 does not have any differences in the lighting...all good all around on mine... :D

if the issues bothers you...(OP) then i would say contact AW anyway. you may be able to earn a replacement. no guarantee, but if you are nice about it, and show some 'adultness', you might get it.

but gratz on the 15....i am sooooooo much closer now for my purchase. :)

Yes the lighting on the keys is uneven like a big unlit patch in the middle of the spacebar, the square line circling the keys, etc. It is more noticeable is youre sitting back in your chair and looking compared to looking at the keys from directly above the keyboard.
It did bother me a bit initially but now Im cool with it cos it looks WAY better than the backlighting on the macbook pro which is the only other laptop with a backlit keyboard.
