I just spent an hour and fifteen minutes with AW tech support with no resolution. Maybe someone here can help.
When I play a streaming video through WMP the sound is barely audible. If I listen to the same video on my other computers, all laptops, it is fine. AW support tried installing new codecs adjusted settings and finally asked me to send the computer back for repairs. I kindly refused, this laptop is 3 weeks old and already needs reapirs? I asked for an RMA and was told of the 15% restocking fee. I asked how that could apply to a defective machine that needs repairs and they were less than helpful. I am expecting a phone call with the RMA # within the next 48 hours and I will discuss with them further.
In the meantime, has anyone encountered this issue and how to fix it. I use streaming videos for my classes and this must work.

how is sound if you just play normal music with WMP?
-
If I play a CD it is fine.
-
ok. by streaming, do you mean from the internet?
-
Yes, from the internet. It is a video presentation of my philosophy class. At first I thought it was just the videos but then when I listened on my Toshiba laptop it was fine. It was also fine on a Macbook. The course has several videos and they all behave the same.

Hmm, what version of WMP do you have installed? And are you able to stream from a different program (ex. Winamp)? It might be just WMP's fault.
