    m15x bad speakers?

    I was kinda wondering if anyone else had the same problem where the speakers would crackle and sound really distorted? The speakers sound fine at 20% volume, any higher than that they crackle. The speakers were like this when I got the machine.

    Yeah, I have had this laptop for 23 days now and well I sent it in for repairs, took about 2 weeks. Got it back with speakers that sounded even worse... :(

    I don't know what to really say about this. I would have been perfectly happy if they did exactly what I had asked, but now I am pretty angry with them. So I asked them for a refund and they said that I am over the 30 days and that I am up to 34 days now. The part that I find a little wrong is that fact that I only had it in my possession for about 22 days. It was gone for 2 weeks. I was kinda wondering what you all thought about this. The funny part is that they left the program 3Dmark05 on the machine. Just that alone makes me think they didn't listen to me when I spacifically said to them what was wrong.

    Do you all think that is really right for them to claim I am over the return days when I didn't have it in my possession. I was also trying to give them a chance to fix the problem....

    its word play from AW....
    as much as i like the machines, their business ethic leaves a bit to be desired.

    call you CC company and look at your rights as a CC holder and see if you have protection against this. you can request the CC company issue you the refund since you are but 4 days out from the actual 30 day limit.
    you should also call back, ask for a manager, and discuss the issue with them. be polite and courteous, but make your points. get names and times and follow thru with an email or letter to AW corprate, BBB, CC company detailing the issue(s) and what if any resolution was offered or completed.

    i dont like the fact they said they repaired it and then said that part of the 30 days was included with the repair time. not good biz.

    you may want to PM AW-Armondo (?) or AW-James on these forums....

    Hey thank you for the fast response. I have already called them and talked to 2 people. I am now waiting for Alienware to call back since I am now at the third level of management. If they do not call back by the time I get home from work tomorrow, I will be calling them again. I hope I will get that call around noon or so because I have work at like 2...ugh. well thanks for the info. man.
