do you think that the m15x can handle a 260m gtx or even a 280m gtx?
-
yes and it will actually produce less heat.
-
theoretically yes ...if it will actually happen i unno.
-
I'm sure Alienware will adopt it by 2011.
-
lol 2011 there will be 395m gtXXXXXX
-
Ok call me stupid... But where can you buy NEW Graphics cards on the internet?
-
avadirect and eurocom are the only sites that pop into my head right now.
-
It doesn't mean anything if you got the card, you still need a different case and heatsink for the m15x, probably new BIOS as well. So unless AW officially support it..............
-
well if the card layout stays the same, there'd be no need to change anything.
-
I heard it's smaller tho.
-
-
die process
-
From what I have read, the 260GTX produces less heat thant the 9800gtx... maybe as much as the 9800GTS, so it can be possible
And maybe its cheaper thant the 9800gt! (If you take the price of the Sager 8662 into consideration)
-
You are correct, it *should* be cheaper since it is using a smaller die. From what I read somewhere, since ATI is able to manufacture their newest GPU's using smaller die, it is actually cheaper as you can get more per a sheet. I hope this helps. God Bless -
I wonder If you can call sager and have one sent out, once they get them in stock. Dose any one know if sager/clevo ask for your account info before you can talk to some one like AW? Might give it a try then sell it to some one wanting to upgrade there NP8662 if it does not work.
