Okay firstly, All I have on me is my notebook. m15x fully loaded. I dont have that booklet that came with it, the cds or anything, they are in Canada, and I am in Poland. I will be back home in about 3 weeks, however I'd like some answers because its been bugging me lately.
I've built many desktops and have about 4 at home. I format them quite alot once every 1-2 months or so. Im a freak when it comes to keeping everything clean.
Anyways my m15x I havent formatted once in the past year, tried to keep it as clean as possible, but im now having some problems with a system32 .dll file, and everything has become a mess. I will deal with it at home, however I'd just like to know if formatting a laptop is much different then a desktop?
Did alienware send me the laptop with all the drivers and all? (Im not at home, so I cant really check,)
Did they send me a windows vista cd? Or will I have to re-purchase windows vista ultimate?
I dont think I ordered alien respawn cd or whatever you call it when I was configuring, if it that helps your answers.
God I hope i dont have to buy vista but if I do oh well.
Someone shed some light so i can live in peace lol for the rest of my vacation.
If they didnt send the drivers, can someone provide a list, or webpage with all the exact drivers I would need for an alienware?... For example the touchpad and all, would drivers need to be installed for that?
And the camra in the screen and so forth, command center, blabla, help![]()

but once you reinstall you should update your drivers -

Reinstalling the OS on a notebook is basically similar to a dekstop. All CDs including the recovery disk are included. You may download the drivers from our support site/ myhive. The respawn disk is sold separately. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to send me a PM.
