    hey guys just wondering how do i get the fps figure in the top left hand side of screen when playing? is it fraps? when using fraps to do that(if it is) does it affect the performance of game at all?

    Yep, just download fraps. I've never noticed any loss in performance while just running it in the background. Obviously, when recording stuff on your screen, your framerate is going to take a huge hit (Although with your processor, not as much as most people). Full screen recording will take a 40 fps scene down to 20 fps, while half screen recording on a Core 2 Duo or better will be about 30-35 fps.

    It uses very few resources. If you'd like to monitor it, Ctrl+Alt+Del to your task manager and see if it's consuming too much memory for your liking.
