Hi there everyone, I was wondering when we are expecting a refresh of the current alienware M15X ? Since people are having so many problems I am currently holding out. Also I perfer the previous ripley design since it looks both professional and powerful. Any comments would be great. Thanks

M15x is still new...the 5870 power requirements will be compatible with the so-called "limits" of the M15x power supply so only thing being refreshed would be the GPU.

Yeah if ever it get upgraded, time to have a better power supply more powerful than a freaking 180 watt, hello 220 or 250 is the only way to stop the throttling issues!

I still don't see how the M15x draws so much power. My M17 goes up to 180W maximum, and that's with a quad core and two graphics cards rather than your one...

And the odd thing is that the non-extreme i7 mobile processors have the same power consumption as my quad, and the 260M has only a little more if any more than one of my 3870s.

It does seem odd-that i7 must be drawing a lot more power in Turbo mode.
