every gun shot is regestired as 2 gunshots. sound is not syncing for some reason. also the graphics look really bad compated to my good old desktop. the colors look washed out on the game, also the max res is 1280x 720 which does not loook good on this monitor.

Sounds like you need a reinstall or just adriver issue.

max res is 1440 by 900 are you selecting 16:10? I dont have any of the issues that you are mentioning. At times the server may be awkward and the gun will not sync with the sound but I just reconnect to different servers.

I'm starting to think alien wares reason for so many complaints is just its average users -_-

i have been playing source for years, i just always though 16:10 was to big to be displayed on my monitor, never tried changing the res, in that setting. thanks guys. as for the sound issue, it resovled itself. but i dont think BF2 supports widescreen so i cant get 1440 x900 on that.

id say 90% of problems with any computer, can be blamed on the user causing problems, not updating drivers, etc. and not hardware related.

it does sound like a driver problem, try updating your drivers if you're using the stock ones, change the screen settings to widescreen, if you're getting that res it must be set as standard.

that's the thing.. we can't install other drivers than the stock one.. it'll reduce the performance of the m15x..

while alienware are sitting there waiting for their poorly managed m15x components to ship in they should really work on some new drivers and support for this laptop ><
