My m15x is 2 weeks old. The screen creaks quite a bit, when I open and close it, when I walk while holding the unit and even when I use it on my lap and move at all. I noticed this afternoon that on the bottom right portion of the screen, on the radius of the curve, that there is a small gap between the bezel and the lid. If I squeeze the gap closed I hear the creak a lot but it is much quieter if I hold the gap closed. It is only noisy as I am in the process of squeezing but once I have it squeezed shut it is better. Is this something that I should be concerned about or is this normal?

It's very normal... well, rather TYPICAL.

You're dealing with the hinge cracking issue. It's been plaguing the m15x since it's inception. Easiest fix is to remove the little rubber button from the screw near where you're having the issue, tighten the screw (appropriately, don't break the plastic in doing so), and reaffix the rubber button.

    Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I did it once and it stopped my problem from getting worse... so I'm actually rather happy with the solution.

Yes, the creaking lid is still an issue with the m15x. I got annoyed with it too, hence why I tried out this fix:

Kinda like the same observation you had. Tightening and securing the lid did stop the creaking and wobblines issue with mine. This is most evident when opening the lid of the laptop.

If you notice with the m15x, when you open the lid normally, sometimes the keyboard area lifts up as well. That creates more pressure for the already weak hinges of the m15x. :(

I've been thinking about trying this but when I remove the rubber buttons the screws beneath are covered in glue. Have I done something wrong? Lol

Tried it - mine were fairly well tightened already. I made sure all we tight but it hasn't made any difference
