I've spent a good bit of reading threads that came up under a basic "m15x" board search but my questions aren't really answered by what's there.

I get that people are still experiencing hinge breakage, has dell remedied the issue with models shipping now? i.e. those who's hinges are breaking had purchased their product 8 or 9 months ago, do the replacement parts look to be any different/better?

is the "laggy keyboard" issue common place? has it been fixed with a bios update?

have the overheating issues been completely fixed?

is there a version of command center out yet that will work with Windows 7? (the laptop ships with a free upgrade coupon and I've got a full install available to me already if i don't want to wait the few weeks between now and the official release)

Hopefully I will have the product in hand by the end of the month. Please don't take this post as an invite to tell me I picked the wrong laptop because I really didn't have a choice in the matter.

*sigh* that'll teach me to JUST use search. sticky kinda gave me some answers in this thread:

however, if anyone feels like just answering my questions rather than making me sift thru the 10pages that thread is comprised of, I'd appreciate it :)

No choice in the matter. It's...a gift.

edit// not sure when the order would be put in though, maybe if the timing is right I'll benefit from it. No idea when "landfall" happens though is there:-(
edit2// 30day return policy...so if i get it the end of this month, I'd have til the end of next month to see if the refresh hits?
