I don't know if anyone else has experienced this... but I seem to have a keyboard responsiveness issue sometimes. Basically sometimes even though I press keys they don't come up... most often when typing double vowels or something. I could have sworn there was a fix for it but I can't find it.
Help anyone?

Downgrade to Bios version X32, as X34 is known to have high latency problems. That might help...

I think you can only solve this problem by uninstalling the Synaptic Drivers and running the Touchpad with the standard Windows drivers untill Alienware has released the fix for the Touchpad! They are working on it and will release them soon hopefully!
That is what I have done and it fixed my keyboard responsiveness! not a fix but a work around! u will not be able to deactivate the touchpad or configure it in the same way as with the synaptic drivers! -
Holy Crap! I thought it was just me! I have a brand new m17x and it does that to me all the freaking time. I'll hit spacebar and it won't space, or I'll misspell a word because it didn't respond to me hitting it. Anyone else experiencing this also...is it vista or the machine?

It seems that both the m15x and the m17x have this same issue. This issue is currently being addressed by Alienware and a fix is underway. I'm pretty sure because of the last few hurricanes, their validation has been taking a bit longer than expected but I'll be sure to check in soon to see their progress.
