I have recently reformatted my computer and have re installed all the things from the windows vista 64 cd that came with it. After installing the command center again my keyboard and alienware name lights have just all of a sudden turned off. I opened the command center to see if they were just set to black/off. It showed that the alienware name was set to blue but there was no tab for the keyboard lights (maybe the program thinks I'm using the non illuminated keyboard?.. . ) Could someone possibly know a solution to this problem?...   :( :( :( :( :(

I have microsoft .netframework 3.5 already.
I also have the latest version of the command center.

Hi depressed, download the Alien Command Center application that is available via My Hive.
The application will download the latest revision automatically when connected to the Internet.

You will also want to check the driver installation order when you reinstall.

    Enjoy your day!

hello Rose, I've already downloaded the command center from My Hive from the alienware website before posting this. I will look into the driver installation order, I hope it works. Thanks Rose.

Oh and the blacking out of the alienware name and keyboard happened right after installing the command center.

If you still want to use Alienware's Command Center to control your system lighting, just create a new theme profile and the lighting should work.

Based on what I've noticed from my repair history, most avanced users are more often upset than relieved when presented with a simple solution to the problem. You'd think there'd be a sense of gratitude or relief, but there's a certain satisfaction that users get from solving their own problems. After having spent 3 hours trying to figure out a driver problem, they like the satisfaction of knowing that those 3 hours were worth something. When someone finds a solution in 15 minutes, they become aware that they lost all that time......and there's a certain resentment.

Eh, that time is already spilt milk. Of course there is going to be a certain resentment in knowing that your 3 hours spent were for naught, but there's still some sense of relief knowing that the problem has been fixed. I believe it's well worth the time to know what not to do the next time you encounter the problem.
