hey, ok, whenever I use battery power, i know the best ways to conserve the battery are to switch to Power Saver mode in control panel, use Stealth Mode, and switch to Binary (integrated) graphics. The problem I have is... whenever I try to switch to binary graphics, it just simply does not do anything. I've called Alienware and they said the only possible way to do this is to press the FN key + F7. But whenever i press FN + F7, nothing happens. Ill hold it down for a few seconds, nothing happens. I decided to download the Intel Graphics Driver from the Alienware support website and it wouldn't install because it said "your computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install this update". Alienware could not give me an answer. Anyone here have any idea what to do?

Or you can do it in this order see if this helps.

    1. Switch Binary on first FN+F7
    2. Then apply power saver
    3. Then kick in stealth mode

    see if that helps.

I'd do a respawn via the disc Alienware sends with the machines, that should fix everything up. Or try a System Restore if you have it enabled. Make sure you back up all of your data first.

Well I would do that except I actually remember when i very first got the computer I was testing out what all the FN keys did and I remember that the fn+f7 combination didn't do anything. I didn't pay attention or care about it until now. =[
