I am about to buy the m15x with t8100 2.1 and 512mb 8700gt to play games...
i was wondering is it worth upgrading the CPU to T8300 or will the t8100 be ok?

    thanks

the best price/performance cpu is the t9300 because it has double the cache....if your limited to one of the two t8xxx series, then i would go for the t8300, going from 2.1 to 2.4 is a good jump especially for gaming.

Age of conans recomended requirements is a 2.4 ghz core duo or better processor.
I'd advise you to go with the most powerful one you can afford. The t8100 will run it, just not at as high a frame rate (depending on resolution - probably medium)

I don't know a lot about age of conan, but from the screen shots I've seen its a pretty graphically intense game, (lots of shading), so the 8700gt will probably be the deciding factor in how well it runs.

If you're intending on using the system purely for gaming I'd advise upgrading the graphics.
