    hey forum,

    so i've had my m15x for 2 weeks now and i 3dmarked it for a score of 8000ish, but my "my alienware" word file that came with the laptop says 10000, and so does the futuremark online software at http://www.yougamers.com/games , I dont get it.

    Also, i was playing supreme commander forged alliance, and it minimizes it to tell me that i dont have enough ram for it, i checked and it says that i still have 500mb of ram available as the game is running.

    also what exactly does the turbo mem do, as i haven't seen much of a difference between this laptop with the turbo mem, and my buddies 2ghz hp...

    It's quite possible that you didn't have the same settings when you ran it as AW did...

    NOTE:The free version of 3DMark06 only has one setting, so AW most likely owns the full version and uses different settings...

    No it's not that. In the nvidia control panel, you have a choice between "Performance", "Balanced" and "Quality". They set it to performance when they do the test - and it makes a big difference. When I say big difference I mean 2k difference, on "Quality" my 10666 3d mark score (performance) drops too 8424!
