    Okay...

I turn on my m15x today and out of the blue, my wireless internet connection is extremely slow, to the point where i cant access a site other then google lol. They take forever to open!

Let me give you some more details.

I have a WRT54G router in the house. (Wireless router)

My desktop (Cable connected to router, router to modem) Works like it should, about 1.8 MegaBytes per second. (Btw yes those are megabytes... :) I have a 16MegaBIT/Second Connection at home, expensive as HECK!)

I wire an ethernet to the laptop from the router ( WORKS FINE)
I wire an ethernet from modem direct to laptop ( WORKS FINE)

Just tried my Gfs laptop wirelessly ( WORKS FINE) <- So that eliminates a problem with the router...

Everything works as it should, except my m15x wirelessly where the speeds drop to below 56K if not less lol. To the point where its unuseable.

    HERES A twist....
I just moved my laptop a bit....and it suddenly WORKS as it should.... ? Umm, weird?

I used it behind the Fax machine I have at home, and thats when it didnt work, now i moved it back to its regular spot...and it works.

I dont really wanna move it behind the fax again, because I dont wanna damage it for some reason, but could that have been the reason of the slow down? Or is something wrong with the m15x network card inside?

So curiously I JUST moved it back to behind the fax machine....and it works fine yet again? Problem doesn't exist anymore?

Hmm I wonder what the problem was....Does this happen frequently with m15x's?

BTW I went through NUMEROUS restarts, and everything, registry mechanic checks, thorough computer cleanups, temp files, this that, internet files, the whole deal, .... Problem still persisted...

    I AM SO CONFUSED?

is the fax machine wireless or bluetooth or neither?
    try elevating the router....

i have not had these issues with my 15x

is the bluetooth on or off?
I think Off, not sure, how would I go about checking?
is the fax machine wireless or bluetooth or neither?
    Niether, it's wired...
    try elevating the router....
meaning.....place it higher? It works the same right now though, it was just a temp problem...

i have not had these issues with my 15x

There is some interference from the fax machine. The wireless adapter connects to your router through a certain frequency and when there are other devices that use the same frequency (2.4mhz?), it interrupts/disrupts the wireless connection.

This happened with the 2.4mhz cordless phone we used to have in our house. Whenever someone called, it would completely cut off my connection. Your situation might be similar.

the touch control for the blutooth should not be as bright as the wireless if it is off. if you do not use BT at all, you could just disable it anyway.

as far as the elevating - yes i was refering to placing the unit higher. I have mine actually attached to the wall such as a picture would be. i have zero issues with signal loss this way. i have heard of people even putting the router in the attack to assist in line of site so to speak.
