    m15x windows install help..

    i just got my 120gb super talent ssd,

    i'm trying to install vistax64 on it, but when i get to the installatino screen it says windows can't find any suitable disk drives to install. please make sure the disk controllers in the bios is on or something.....


    any help?!??! :/

    actually its not that simple anymore.. it worked till halfway through vista installation it just cut off.. then i rebooted a few times, stuck on bios screen.. apparantly the ssd is not there anymore! i tried reseating it a few times.. and nothing happened.. then it suddenly recognized it again! ... and during vista installation when it reboots... well.... its not there anymore :1

    i think it's the ide-sata connector being looose... but i dono how to fix it...

    Sound like a Bad hard drive. Or When you plug the hard drive in you did not discharge your self of static eletricity Basicly touching metal to discharge before working on the computer. Other problems is Useing a Magnetic screwdriver. That Offects the hard drive. It like Putting magnets next to your Old 1950 to 2005 Tubed TV Screen not LCD tv screens.

    Just a few tips.

    i know.. ive swapped hds before... my m5550 uses an ssd... right now its like.. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.. or it works for a while then doesnt.. :/

    can i send it back for defective?? or i might try with another comp first. it seems to bve working wif my m5550 though but i didnt really teste it out for long

    sometimes it hangs on the bios booting screen... which means the hd isnt detected.. other times it goes past it, but when i start the vista install... it hangs on windows loading files, and my hd is disconnected or something..... i almost feel like the disc spin vibration is makoing it loose... (i feel the whole ground shake when the disk spins ) lol xD but maybe im just being silly..

    there are no moving parts in an ssd so there cant be disk spin, unless you are talking about the cd. i doubt the cd can create that much force.
