Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on these forums, but I'm hoping you all can help me now.

I recently sent in my m15x for some repairs and I noticed that my bios had been upgraded by the tech staff from X34 to X36. However, like it is for most of you, the CPU fan overdrive mode is really getting annoying. Notwithstanding whether or not this bios upgrade fixed the original issue (I'm talking to AW to find out exactly what the fix was), is it safe to downgrade back to X34? Would that fix the fan overdrive issue? I never really cared about the fixes X36 made, like the bios latency thing, and I was fine with how the fans worked under X34.

    Thanks all

x34 is buggy, stay away. if the CPU whine annoys you, go back to X32.

maybe it was x32 I had; I just know I upgraded once and only once (just to fix the very initial GPU downclock issue)

anyway, but you say it's completely safe?
