m17 Phase times?

OK so I bought a m17 and pretty didn't customize it really. I ordered it a few weeks ago. Phase 1-3 was smooth but a part got back ordered and it got stuck on phase 4. After they got the part it went to phase 3 which is now my current phase. I bought the comp as a birthday gift and i just wanna know if it is possible for it 2 arrive before september 9th?
oh yea and i did request 50 dollers back since it dropped after i ordered it so if this is the cause i will be pissed at myself...

wierd mine took 8 days from the order to the nearest fedex drop spot

i think it's impossible to say from the time building began mine was sent 4 days later but you should contact AW to know why it's bieing so long

and in the call you could manage to get the $ back or get a part upgrade

Kainan54, I was in the same boat as you. Here is what you need to do...
1. Call AW and get a status. Also email at the same time. Be sure to include your original order date, current known status and length of time it has been in that status.
2. Call Dell and ask to speak to an actual sales manager. Explain your issue to an actual sales manager, from the United States then you can ask to speak to a manager at AW.
3. The parts that i know of that have been on back order are... Memory and Chassis (1440x900) both ripley and skull.
I don't work for alienware. I actually had to pay more for my order to get the
1200p screen so I could get my order faster. It is now on the way to my house via fedex, eta Saturday. I created my order on 8/24.
I wish you good luck.. this stuff is very stressful in my opinion. As long as it takes to get one of these laptops I dont see how people send them back to get something else. I refuse to count my pixels before I have the laptop in my house.

Well its phase 6 now! I guess phase 5 went real fast

 

same exact thing happened to me, now mines also on phase 6

 

Hey guys... my M17 made it today. I had to actually stop fedex in the road. Thank god I manage my own issues because fedex was about to take it back to the warehouse WITHOUT dropping it off. Apparently it was mixed in the system. So... Like anything else, if you want your laptop in a timely manner, ask for updates, remind everyone of status, basically stay on top of the process the entire time... First game installed was Champions Online. I need to update my ATI drivers for the better ones. Plays at full screen, 1900x1200 so I am STOKED!!!!! I hope everyone gets his/her notebooks soon.

any thing new did you guys recieved you m17 or is it still lost in AW

 

I ordered the m17x, however i went from phase 1-3 in a day, awaiting it to be built/tested now. Needless to say I was surprised.

 

Got mine and I love it so far... hope you get what you want and enjoy it. That is what counts... life is too short to not have a few of the simple and more expensive pleasures...!
