hi all me laptops had to go back to a/w
question is how long do they normally keep these things and is their a good success rate of a working laptop comming back?

It's been a mixed bag for me. When parts are in stock, the turnaround time is quick and the issue has been resolved about 90% of the time. The workmanship has not always been good as they completely neglected to add thermal paste to GPUs once and another time they sent it back still screwed up. Other times, it has been impressive.
Unfortunately, the UK service has not been very good in recent history. What is it you are having done? -

second gpu cannot work , tried another card still same problem,
bloke at the other end of the phone reckons its the motherboard.
it all used to work......not sure why its done this twice the page that is ^^^^^^ -
Give it a couple months.

It's crazy if any decent computer company expect customers to be ok without computer for couple months.
I can't live without computer for 2 days. -
I was only kidding. I've had to send whole systems into Sony and lenovo and both had 5 business day turn-around.
-
I had send it back twice for RMA and it took exactly 2 weeks per RMA. So expect it to be 10-14 business days.

mmmm well they have it today so its when they can be assed to look at it i suppose, im hoping they have nothing to do
