Hello, in the upcoming future I am looking to upgrade my m17 hard drive from 160gb to 320gb. I'm thinking about ordering this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148336

I read the power on it is somewhat low, and it is enough space for me. Will that one work with the m17?

I have never really installed new parts on a laptop before, I have built desktops from scratch tho so it shouldn't be too hard for me.

Can anyone give me a quick tutorial of where the hard drive is located on the case? I just unscrew it, pull it out and snap the new one in, correct? Anything else that i'm missing?

edit: Also on the bottom of my laptop I see a 1 and a 2, is one of those the hard drive? or do I have to take the whole bottom off to replace it? Also this case can only hold one hard drive, correct?

    Thanks.

You're right, the '1' and '2' are the hard drive bays.

You literally pull the hard drive bay out (one screw), install the new drive in the same orientation as the old, and plug 'er back in.

Thanks a bunch, all I needed to know.

One other problem I seem be having which is kind of off topic is:

When I hold down or press a key my touchpad mouse begins to 'lock' until I let go of a key. Is there a way to disable this? Highly annoying when i'm trying to use it in some games.

    Thanks.

should be a setting you can change somewhere in the mouse driver... this is done to prevent accidental scrolling while typing.

FN+F5 disables the touchpad, but then you'll need a mouse.

Thanks guys, I called support and it was a driver issue. For some reason it won't work with the touchpad driver and I have to use the default microsoft driver. All is fine now tho, thanks.
