Hi
I know this is a silly question, but it is still one^^
I see some write m17 and others write M17. I also know this is more or less equal, but I want to know why some write it this and some the other way ...
Thank you for infos![]()
Greetings
Julian
PS: I just want to make it right next time^^

-
caps lock broken?
dunno, i think it becomes a personal miss or purpose...
-
So there is no right or wrong way?
Greetings
Julian -
i think it goes like this....
m15x
m17x
M17
those are as AW has them on the site. so to be exact, i would guess then M17 is the correct way to write it.
but then again, m17 is easier then hitting the shift key....
-
according to Alienware's site, these are the notebooks' names:
- M17
- m15x
- m17x
- m9750
so only the Whitebook-rebrand is written with a capital "m", the others are all lowercase. of course, most people just write all lowercase since they're just lazy forum-dwellers
-
down with the shift key! power to the forum dwellwers!
-
but that requires actually doing something...and as whizzo said, i am lazy...i desire not to do anyting to to overthrow myself....
-
lol hahaha
-
Ok now I know how it's right and I'll have to correct everybody
Greetings
Julian -
M17 is the one with ATI crossfire X. M17x is the standard one.

jules, you may now correct him
-
LMAO.......
-
Ditto..........
-
Omfg, this is an example of how bored M17 owners are.
-
not true. this is an example of how nitpicky Germans are
-
i would look at it as how correct one would want to be...
-
there are some mistakes or misunderstandings ....
shell I?
Or do I have to?
hm ... what does this mean?
hm?
you are sooo right^^
OK, you are right as well, I just want to be what Porsche, BMW, WV, Audi are supposed to be^^
Hm ... may be ... and now^^
@Luke
In this thread we are talking about the capital letter of the M17 ... the m17x hasn't one^^
So I think you meant: the m17x ...
Am I right guys?
Greetings
Julian -
I would say it's obviously with a M. I suppose it stands for mobile but it deserves a big M for the weight, as in MOBILE in a Heavy way.................................
-
I put M17 cause thats how Alienware has it.
Jules: LMAO is "Laugh my "behind" off"
Luke: Try looking around the Alien site a bit more..... -
They have mine listed as M17 in shipping status.
I dont think it really matters much on if its capitalized or not.
On the Alienware site it has all the other laptops as m17x, m15x, and m9750, but the M17 is capitalized.
Ditto means "same as". Like in pokemon you know? there was a creature called ditto that would transform into which ever other creature. haha -
well we dont have to worry about explodeing hindges or not being able to overclock
our systems are so nice we have time to just game and think
-
i loved the little purpple BLOB named ditto ......i should change my name to snorlax
-
lol your rl name?
-
I knew the meaning but I didn't understand what he meant with it
Greetings
Julian -
He was thinking the same thing as the previous poster.
-

Greetings
Julian
