is the m17 socket the 775? just curious..
-
I'm pretty sure they all use "Socket P"
Socket 775 is a DESKTOP CPU... finding that on a laptop would be rare... and oh, so wrong.
Next time, try google, or wikipedia.
you can also find the answer to your question here. -
no... socket p, believe the numerical socket is 478 or something like that
-
Its a Socket P for M17's chipset
-
Only the old ASUS C90s and Clevo D901C are using socket LGA775.
The Clevo D901C (aka. Sager 9262) can handle up to 65nm and 45nm quad-core CPUs.
The ASUS C90s is capped at using dual cores since its cooling and form factor is limiting it.
The Arima W840 DI (aka. AW m17, OCZ Whitebook, etc.) is using a mobile Socket P with Intel PM45 chipset. -
just makes sense right? why would Intel strain themselves to put out different chipsets for FCPGA/FCBGA chips, when the only difference is a few instruction lines and processor capabilities?
they'd be silly otherwise.
m17 socket type?
