ahh the only way I can get the webcam to work is if i enable the face software.. then the camera is always on like the blue light has to on for the camera to work? I pressed FN+f4 to get the camera to enable and it appears to work but the light isnt on and when i try to use it i just get nothing,

does the face software have to be enabled for the webcam to work?

What exactly are you trying to do ?

In order for the camera to work (considering its not disabled with fn + f4) you need to either run the software the comes with the pc "Youcam" or use applications like skype/msn etc.

you also need to go into the settings of that particular program you are using it with and select it as the device to use.

make sure you change your power setting to performance, windows by default goes to balanced on notebooks.
