I am still wondering if I should buy the m17x or m15x next gen...

But I am also wondering something else. It becomes clear to me that I won't see great benefit from SLI GTX260m and SLI GTX280m.
    So I would take the GTX260ms and wait for ATI 4870x2 DDR5 and/or GT300m.

My only concerni is that I wonder how accessible the GPUs are? Is it just switching the heatsink from cards? A bit like watercooling?
In this case that would be great. Or do you have any info about something weird which would prevent non-AW people to switch graphics? (
(some kind of AW special GPU shape or something).

I really would like to keep the m17x until the next GPU mobile update...G92b has been there for two years so If I buy one just before the next gen, it doesn't sound very smart to me :(.

Thanks in advance for your help and wise recommandation :).

    Hi Natadiem,
The last time I consulted my manuals, the video cards didn't look like too big of a stretch to replace.

    Here are the steps:
    1. Remove bottom panel
    2. Remove keyboard bezel (just above the keyboard)
    3. Remove video cards. (heat sinks are attached)

If you're looking for more detailed information, there should be a very basic service manual floating around on this forum. If you need any help removing the video cards, I'd be happy to walk you through it.
