Since I live in France I use the price of the m15x in the US and the price in France they increase almost 28% the price of the unit not bad ehh  .

So if I use the same magic % we endup with something around the 1,800 EUROS.

m17x on US = $2199 it is 1,423 EUROS base on XE exchange site. So 1,423 x 28% = to something around 1,800 EUROS

I hope I am wrong and we endup with a lower price :D

Probably it won't be a lower price, the XPS 1730 is about 1800 euros so it sounds about right that m17x should be about the same.

But if we use the DELL prices as a reference in US the 1730 base line starts @2,399 and the m17x base line starts @ 2,199 so we endup with 200 USD less expensive the m17x than the 1730.

In France the 1730 starts @ 1,799 EUROS So if we use the previous price reference we can probably expect at least 100 EUROS less expensive. This time I hope I am right

I sincerely doubt this laptop will be anywhere near €1799, us europeans get fleaced, expect start price closer to €1899, and €2199 minimum spend to get it kitted out to anyway decent spec.

    Hi, I'm French too.

The price is bigger in France because you have the TVA (French tax) is applied on the price whereas in the US, the taxes are applied at the end.

If you plan to take the minimal config I don't think you shouldn't take an Alienware IMO.
I finish in French but I say the same thing.

Si tu veux te prendre la configuration minimum je suis pas persuadé qu'Alienware soit une bonne idée. Certes tu auras un beau PC, mais il sera largement plus cher qu'un PC de même configuration d'une autre marque. A toi de voir ^^.
