    yes it is, you will save a couple hundred dollars. that is 800 mhz. the m17x uses 667 mhz. you can put the 800 mhz in but it will just downclock to 667 mhz.

    But which outta those to will be better? And do you no of any others that are cheaper and better?

    i would go with the g.skill one since it is cheaper and it comes with lifetime warranty. thats already very good ram. no point buying cas latency 4 ram when you wont even notice a difference in performance.
